DERC Salotech designed a complete line of Hose Catchers, which provide a safe way of cleaning pipes manually. When cleaning pipes and tubes there is a risk the nozzle could come out of the pipe backwards. To protect the operator DERC Salotech has created a safety solution: DERC Hose Catcher.

The DERC Hose Catcher is available in different types:

• VE.70500 for cleaning heat exchangers
• VE.80000 for cleaning larger pipes (up to 400 mm OD)
• VE.20000 for cleaning pipe lines
• VE.40000 for cleaning vertical heat exchangers

VE.70500

The DERC Hose Catcher type VE.70500 is a specially constructed adjustable auxiliary tool for cleaning pipe bundles by means of a hose with a jetting nozzle mounted to the front. All the pipes in the bundle can be reached because of the construction with two hinged points.

The advantage of the modular construction of the hose catcher is that an adaptor can be mounted to a foot pedal so that a vertical heat exchanger can be cleaned. Besides this the hose catcher can be used for one single pipe after removal of the hinged arm. The hose catcher can be mounted to a pipe or heat exchanger in various ways.

Flex hoses of different diameters can be used due to the various diameters of the interchangeable Hose Stoppers.

A round transparent (Lexan) plate has been mounted on to protect the operator from backsplash water.

Hose Stopper

Every Hose Catcher, except the VE.20000, is equipped with six Hose Stoppers for different flex hoses diameters. The Hose Stopper ensures that the hose stops at the right moment. The stoppers can be stored in the cassette, which is located on the Hose Catcher, to keep everything together.
